O`KEY Group Supports the Great Patriotic War Veterans

O`KEY Group S.A. (LSE: OKEY, ‘Group’), one of the leading Russian food retailers, has directed about RUB 5 million to support the Great Patriotic War veterans.

The O`KEY hypermarket chain has been supporting veterans since 2002. Every year ahead of the Great Victory Day, the Company runs a nationwide campaign to support veterans and provide gifts to people whose unprecedented courage and heroism allowed the nation to endure wartime hardships and brought it peace and freedom.

This year, ahead of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory in the Second World War, O`KEY will give away 5,000 gift cards redeemable for products in our hypermarkets to thank and celebrate veterans.

In addition, O`KEY has taken part in the nationwide ‘Red Carnation’ campaign organised by Memory of Generations charity foundation. Our customers can also support veterans and purchase commemorative red carnation pins at hypermarket checkouts. All funds raised from selling the pins will be used to provide high-tech medical services to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and other military conflicts, and to purchase medications and rehabilitation equipment for them.

Armin Burger, Chief Executive Officer of O`KEY Group, said:

‘O`KEY wishes its customers a happy 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. The bravery and heroism of the Great Patriotic War veterans will forever be remembered by generations to come. Today, amid the spreading coronavirus, veterans need our special care and support more than ever, and this year, we were able to provide support to almost twice as many veterans than in the previous years. We are eternally grateful to all those who served on the front lines and home front and spared neither health nor life for freedom and peace.’
